NATURE & REST —

A landscape that stays with you.

You stay right in the middle of the green, with walking and cycling paths that start right at your door.

The rolling hills of Haspengouw invite you to slow down, step by step, bend after bend. Each season paints the landscape differently: fresh and open in spring, full and warm in summer, golden and ripe in autumn, quiet and surprisingly beautiful in winter.

Around the house live miniature donkeys, goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and geese. They move calmly between the meadows and trees — part of the daily rhythm here. There's no rush. No bustle. Just the rhythm of the animals and the landscape.

WALKING & CYCLING —

The paths start right at your door.

Here you don't start a walk with a plan. You just step outside.

The Haspengouw cycling routes begin just minutes from the door. Popular rides lead you past orchards, village centers, and open fields. In spring, the region bursts into blossom — one of Belgium's most beautiful cycling destinations.

For walkers, there are countless quiet paths and trails through the landscape. An early morning walk in the mist is something special here. Or simply sitting still on the terrace and letting the landscape do its work.

"A stay in Kerniel isn't an outing, but a breath of fresh air."

Maastricht

Just across the border, but a world apart. Atmospheric Burgundian city with a rich culture, fine restaurants, and a beautiful historic center. A trip that is always rewarding.

A region to savor.

The region is known for its fruit orchards — and you can taste it. In dishes made with local ingredients, in freshly pressed apple juice, in warm little places where you're happy to linger a while longer at the table.

The hills around Borgloon, meanwhile, are producing increasingly beautiful regional wines. Domein Cuvelier is a local gem — pure, refined, and soft. On arrival, we'll pour you a glass of their sparkling wine, or a fresh apple-based juice. If you like it, you'll find your favorite waiting in the suite too, to enjoy a little longer during your stay. One of their white wines is also there for you, should you want to discover it.

For an unforgettable evening at the table: Nyde in Borgloon. A place where hospitality and creativity go hand in hand. There you'll taste not just the food, but the love for the craft — served on ceramics made by our hostess.
